Managing Director Eneco B2B

Eneco

I am an experienced Managing Director/CEO with proven track record in complex transformation challenges, in turn-around, scale up or strong growth setting.

Following a sabbatical in which I spent time advising for good causes, I switched sectors in 2021 and started in a new role as Managing Director B2B (>2b EUR revenue) at Eneco, one of the largest Dutch energy companies and one of the first large energy companies worldwide that wholeheartedly embarked on a truly sustainable course.

Eneco's ambition is to be climate-neutral in 2035. Not only in its own activities, but also in the energy it supplies to all customers. In doing so, Eneco will go faster than the scientifically substantiated 1.5°C path prescribes. We will do this not by compensating, but by really going to zero carbon emissions. At Eneco, we believe we have to and we believe we can.

My personal career so far has been very international, working in Global, European, Emerging market (Turkey, Brazil, Middle East) and Mature market (Netherlands, Germany, UK, France) roles. Throughout this period, I have gathered strong people, strategic, sales, IKAM, commercial excellence, systems, and business development skills, combined with a solid finance background. I am experienced in consumer goods, various B2B industries, as well as retail store businesses.

I love to build and sustain high performing teams and to help individuals become the best version of themselves, growing and empowering them to perform and thrive. I focus on the 'what’ and the 'how’ of business transformation, from vision to plan to excellence in execution. I also deeply care about the 'why’, by bringing purpose and meaning to an organization to do not 'just what is economically right’, but rather what is sustainable, sound, and fair.

I also remain personally committed to sustainability and economic fairness as Senior executive (pro bono) advisor to the Executive Director of worldwide NGO Solidaridad on organizational matters, fair trade mechanisms, fair data, circularity, and product innovation with impact.
