To further reduce emissions from shipping the company has also developed a maritime hydrogen fuel cell system together with world leader on fuel cell technology, Toyota.

Ecop has developed a new industrial high temperature heat pump that is extremely cost-effective and energy efficient. The same appliance has a broad area of application, from -20 °C to 150 °C. It requires no lubrication, and all parts are low maintenance, as they are rotating, standard and industrial. The Ecop rotation heat pump can be used simultaneously in one machine to generate heat and cold, and also serves as a flywheel accumulator. No F-gases or flammable refrigerants are used.
Revolutionary low-cost electricity storage in a hydrogen-bromine flow battery
Elestor, based in Arnhem, has developed flow batteries with an extensive lifespan that store electricity safely and at a fraction of the cost of traditional batteries. The low-cost active materials, hydrogen and bromine, combined with a patented and simplified system design have resulted in a storage system that operates at an unrivalled cost level per kWh stored. Elestor has a cooperation with Vopak to develop large-scale, long-term electricity storage solutions for the grid.

2030 and 2050 sustainability goals - which are set by national and supranational governments - are ambitious. So ambitious, that current technology is not sufficient to reach the set goals. HYGRO levert betaalbare, groene waterstof. Wij ontwikkelen waterstofprojecten en de technologische keten tegelijkertijd. Daardoor kunnen we de optimale waterstofproductie en -distributie organiseren. Dit alles om betaalbare en duurzame energie op het juiste moment bij de klant te leveren.
A Dutch start-up developing technology to harvest electrostatic energy. Their first commercial product, the E-box, will convert energy in the Earth’s atmosphere into electricity with the help of its patented di-electric e-Cells. The prototyping is now reaching its final stage and is expected to deliver the equivalent of 16 solar panels of electricity on an annual basis and would serve as a home electricity power station, enabling low-cost renewable power supply in your home.
De wereld heeft schonere energiebronnen nodig. Methaplanet wil deze behoefte helpen vervullen. Door het plaatsen van een in modules opgebouwde voorbewerkingsfabriek helpen wij biogascentrales om, zonder een extra grotere vergunning aan te vragen, veel meer biogas te kunnen produceren op dezelfde locatie. Dit door de input stroom optimaal te bewerken voor anaerobe vergisting.
Wij bouwen geen biogascentrales, maar wij zijn wel in staat om de biogas productie van bestaande installaties flink op te voeren. Dat doen wij met de productie en toepassing van onze gepatenteerde Energiekorrels. Deze korrels worden geproduceerd in de Maxximizer. De Maxximizer is een installatie waarmee biomassa uit de landbouw wordt omgezet in deze Energiekorrels.

Carbon capture is key to countering the climate crisis. Doing this at scale requires putting massive amounts of CO2 somewhere; we suggest putting it to good use by permanently storing it in industrial material.

The TidalKite, developed by Dutch start-up SeaQurrent, is an innovative underwater kite that enables 3D energy-harnessing from tidal currents. Thanks to its patented, multi-wing system, a single TidalKite device can harvest much more energy than existing tidal technologies, making it cost effective for deployment in a large number of locations worldwide. The resulting energy harvest marks a breakthrough in the price of electricity produced from tidal energy.
Waterstof speelt een sleutelrol bij het slagen van de Nederlandse energietransitie. En dan bij voorkeur groene waterstof, gemaakt met stroom uit wind of zon en zonder uitstoot van CO2. Door het ontwikkelen van bijvoorbeeld waterstof voor de vrachtwagens en streekbussen van morgen, investeren we in nieuwe energie voor Nederland.
Shell heeft de kennis, de technologie en de ambitie om een actieve rol te spelen in het realiseren van een waterstofeconomie in Nederland. Inmiddels beschikken drie Shell-stations over waterstofvulpunten. Daar komen er nog zeker twee bij. Automobilisten kunnen er groen gecertificeerde waterstof tanken om na drie tot vijf minuten vullen weer op weg te kunnen. In 2021 nam Shell in Groningen bovendien haar eerste waterstofvulpunt voor bussen in gebruik. Ook de bussen rijden op groen gecertificeerde waterstof, totdat we zelf de benodigde groene waterstof kunnen produceren.

De nieuwe manier voor gecomprimeerde luchtopslag
Het ministerie van Economische Zaken heeft een project goedgekeurd voor de ontwikkeling van zogenaamde Solar Air Fuels. Hierbij wordt lucht opgeslagen in chemisch vloeibare vorm. De opgeslagen energie komt vrij op afroep. Nieuwe toepassingen van het proces worden onderzocht bij het energiezuinig ijs vriezen, energieopslag en nieuwe benzine dieselmotoren in auto’s.
At Weco, we believe that wave energy will play an important role in achieving a 100% renewable energy supply. The worldwide potential of wave energy is the equivalent of three billion households that can be supplied with electricity! Furthermore, it is a good addition to the existing sources of green energy. Offshore wind farms and wave energy installations can be well combined for example and a mix of energy sources ensures a more stable energy production.
After years of process, the developers of Xirqulate are about to build a plant in the Netherlands that will sustainably convert 21 Ktonnes of non-recyclable plastic into high-quality feedstock every year. This tried and tested depolymerization technology also means that Xirqulate emits less CO2 than incinerating mixed plastic waste. This will provide the chemical industry with a responsible alternative for the production of new plastics.
We have developed a fully circular process whereby plastics are transformed back into raw materials to produce virgin quality plastics.
